The Cabin

While staying in the cabin you will have the opportunity to enjoy a beautiful view of the rolling hills, country side and cedar forest that nestle the log cabin. Watch the gorgeous sunsets from the front or side porch. Gaze at the stars while wrapped up in a blanket beside an outdoor fire pit. Curl up with a book on the swing of the front porch or maybe sunbath on the private beach of the pond. After a hike of the 21¬†acres cool off with an outdoor private shower. Walk up to the top of the ridge of Greenbriar Rd, the highest point in Jefferson County and marvel at the views. Like to fish? We provide poles for the pond. Or just lounge in the sun on the dock. The first floor features a fully equipped kitchen with An expansive Indiana stone fireplace and hand crafted cabinets made from reclaimed wood and a fully operational 1956 Hasty Baker Stove. The living room has a full size sleeper sofa, reclining chair for naps and plenty of windows to enjoy the outdoors in clement weather days. All the downstairs flooring is reclaimed poplar wood planks. The staircase was handcrafted to that of an original old cabin. Upstairs you will find one bedroom and a queen size bed with a pillow top mattress. Vaulted wood plank ceilings and large windows overlook the pond and view of the rolling hills. Metal roofing on the entire cabins insures the sound of rain will surely put you to sleep. The bathroom is large and spacious with plenty of room for dressing. The cabin is furnished with rustic primitive antiques with modern conveniences. Two metal roof porches and a gazebo feature swing, rocking chairs, and a napping bed, the perfect sitting area to relax, nap, listen to the rain or just watch the abundant wildlife.
